Debbie Flevotomou, Debbie Flevotomou Architects
Debbie has over 15 years’ experience in architecture and urban design. She is the chair of the architectural company and she also leads London Ballet Theatre and London Berkeley Developments.
Debbie specialises in THINK NATURE designs, Nature inspired = Nature friendly, a technique that creates Zero Emission Biophilic buildings and designs. She is also challenging the status quo that sustainability raises the price of the development.
Prior to starting her own practice, Debbie worked for Foster + Partners for five and half years. During that time, she spent considerable time working for Masdar, the first sustainable city in the world in Abu Dhabi with an initial budget of £22 billion.
With her company Debbie has been responsible for:
- The design of Four THINK NATURE towers, the tallest 160 meters high.
- The leaf project in North Africa, a 5 km long regeneration project.
- The Al Wahah project, an intergeneration mixed use project of £80 million in Libya.
- The design of several Lazari Investment billion real estate projects.
- The houses of several entrepreneurs and business tycoons including tycoon Naeem Tyab.
Debbie had managed RIBA South London Branch (including more than 800 architects) for 6 consecutive years and afterwards she was elected an RIBA Councillor for the last three years.
